Helmtraud and Wilhelm Blatz founded and built up Ille in 1965. Dynamism and service were always at the forefront of their minds. This philosophy is still essential for Ille today. The entire team works on this every day.

Management

Marion Gottschalk
Marion Gottschalk, née Blatz, was born in Hanau in 1969. After completing her banking training, she studied economics and philosophy at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. As the daughter of the founding couple Blatz, she was involved in the company from the very beginning. In 2009, she took over 25% of the shares and has been Managing Director since 2010. She is responsible for finance, human resources and organisation. She has been married to Eric Gottschalk since 1994.

Eric Gottschalk
Eric Gottschalk was born in Hanau in 1969. After his commercial training, he completed his military service. He then began studying at what is now the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM) in Giessen and graduated in 1993 with a degree in business administration (FH). His future father-in-law Wilhelm Blatz recruited Eric Gottschalk for Ille after his studies. Today he is Managing Director and is responsible for logistics and the foreign companies. Eric Gottschalk has been married to Marion Gottschalk since 1994.

His main focus is on sales.
Ille Highlights
Ille 100 % family owned
Ille Aussteuer was founded in Hanau in 1965 by Helmtraud Blatz, née Ille, and Wilhelm Blatz when the couple were not yet married. The couple later changed their name to Ille Handtuchautomaten-Service and rented out towel dispensers for rolls of cloth. From 1987 to 2009, Mr and Mrs Blatz entered into a partnership at shareholder level with Haniel and Ille Papier-Service GmbH was founded, which focused on the sale of paper dispensers. The improved capital structure supported the rapidly advancing growth. Nevertheless, the Blatz family was happy to be able to buy out the partner in 2009. Daughters Marion Gottschalk and Christiane Blatz were taken on as partners. Since then, Ille has been 100% family-owned again.

Logistic and Production
Made in Germany
Ille's dispensers are precision-engineered and manufactured in Altenstadt, Germany, ensuring maximum reliability. Each dispenser undergoes rigorous quality checks before dispatch, with final on-site inspections by our technicians to guarantee optimal performance. Serving over 45,000 customers, we receive direct feedback that drives continuous improvement. Our sustainable rental model in Germany allows for dispenser refurbishment, reusing 80% of components and recycling the remainder, achieving a 100% recycling rate. Available in mechanical and electronic versions, our dispensers cater to diverse hygiene needs. Electronic models offer touch-free operation with energy-efficient designs, powered by specially developed long-lasting batteries.

Sustainability and Quality
Responsibility towards people and the environment is our commitment. Ille stands for smart design, high hygiene standards, and resource conservation. Our dispensers and soaps, made in Germany, along with EU-certified papers, ensure top quality and efficiency. More than 45,000 satisfied customers confirm: Ille products reduce waste, conserve resources, and promote sustainability. Paper can be recycled up to seven times, while our foam soaps minimize wastewater through efficient dosing. Durable dispensers are repairable, recyclable, and built to last.
With 40 branches across Europe, optimized routes and trained drivers ensure eco-conscious logistics. Regular training guarantees service quality and adherence to ecological goals – for a sustainable future.

Hygiene
Water and soap remove dirt from the hands, but the majority is effectively removed using a clean, open-pored towel – ideally made of paper, which is mandatory in medical settings. In contrast, air dryers can promote bacterial growth.
Ille foam soap offers pleasant application, supports skin regeneration, and is ideal for high hygiene standards. For specific needs, dispensers for disinfectant and cream are available, featuring hygienic, touch-free sensor technology.
Paper towels and dispensers remain protected and clean, wall-mounted installation simplifies cleaning, and special surface coatings meet food industry standards.
